The picnic boat uses Hobie 16 hulls, Oregon (Douglas fir) 8by2 fore aft, 4by2 spanning (7off) and 12mm ply deck. The canopy is poly tarp sewn with a hem to take 50mm pvc pipe. The pipes are 50mm PVC joined by T junctions push fit. The boat comes to bits for transporting and can fit in a one ton van with the hulls on the roof rack. there are 598 parts counting every nut and bolt. Cost $1200 Australian. The hulls were a gift from a friend which started the whole project off....
