Weekend Skiff
I've attached some pictures of the Weekend Skiff I built a couple
of years back. This is a fun boat to build, and the
plans/instruction book has clear instructions for building three
variations: a rowboat, a sailing version with daggerboard, rudder, and
standing lugsail, and an outboard-powered version.
Two of the photos are from July 4, 2002 when I took my sister-in-law for
her first sail, then took her husband out. He'd been sailing with me
before and is now building Dave Carnell's "$200 Sailboat." The other
photo shows the boat on a trailer, getting ready to launch for a sail with
my brother-in-law....who borrowed the plans/instruction book.
Yep....boatbuilding is addictive and contagious!
