Peter Lenihan had this to say about the slick yachting magazines:

They target a different audience than ours, those barbarians of uncouth manners and unspeakable habits!  I would not wish to mingle and thus be sullied by their unsavoriness!  Preferring instead to gently rise above the great unwashed masses of metooist, while slipping silently into the moist, epoxy coated realm of the Ibuiltitist.  One's pleasure is only heightened by the nearly intoxicating sense of accomplishment born of ones two hands as we stroke and shape each piece of wood that becomes warm under our ministrations. With growing eagerness, we push, tug, twist and bend until each piece fits snuggly against its' mate.  Passionately, we fuss over each little detail until it is"right". With untiring devotion, we willingly repeat small tasks and movements 'till the sum is greater than it's parts.   In the end, we stand with shaky legs and beating heart as our little ship of dreams is lowered into her element.  If we have a soul that is human, a tear or two may be released.  Can sex be any better?

Besides,I like my Micro too much as it is!

Sincerely,

Peter Lenihan, realizing that his girlfriend had better not read this or else it is going to be one long cold winter, here on the shores of the St.Lawrence...........

A preacher was completing a temperance sermon:

With great expression he said, "If I had all the beer in the world, I'd take it and throw it into the river."

With even greater emphasis, he said, "And if I had all the wine in the world, I'd take it and throw it into the river."

And then, finally, he said, "And if I had all the whiskey in the world, I'd take it and throw it into the river."

He then sat down. The song leader stood very cautiously and announced with a pleasant smile, "And, for our closing song, let us sing Hymn #365: "Shall We Gather At the River".
